Pernambuco has a delightful coastline and many other unique treasures, in search of them we found charming people, peace and waterfalls – unforgettable!
Brazil always conjures up a vision of superb beaches, coconut palmes, sun and delightful, smiling people. Flying to Recife we dream of the paradise and adventure that awaits us and on landing there it is.
Close to Banana Country (at Cabo Santo Agostinho) you will discover the real Brazil in the state of Pernambuco, at Primavera, a small town with only 11.000 inhabitants. With a hired car you will set off throu unspoilt, green countryside, a stream here and another there, driving along narrow dirt tracks stopping at local bars to take a poweful cachaça in the middle of the forest. You will head on again, up and down the small road and eventually arrive at the veranda overlooking the waterfall. There you will enjoy a typical feijoada (a bean stew), caipirinhas overlooking a magnificent view of the water cascading over the rocks in front of you, the fine spray cooling you as you will sit surrounded by lush greenery and listening to the viola which will add the finishing touch to the delightful afternoon. Returning light-hearted ready for another adventure the next day, a boatride into the mangroves behind the harbour of Suape.

Recife and Olinda are easily reachable by bus or car. By bus it will take you some 2 hours, by car one hour drive to the center of Recife. From Recife there are many buses leading to Olinda. The sistertowns are only a short distance from each other which means 20 minutes by bus or car.
